This year’s participation by the Philippines at the annual World Travel Market is set to be the largest yet, with over 32 participating DMCs, ground handlers, hotels and resorts. The annual event, the most crucial for the entire travel industry globally at the latter part of the year is set on 7-9 November at the Excel Exhibition Centre in London.The Philippine Stand’s prime location at AS500 with a space of 366 sqm is centrally located at the front at the Asia Hall.
It allows the Philippines to be the first to greet visitors as they come into the Asia section of WTM. This also allows the country’s top representatives from the travel industry to garner the highest potential for business meetings throughout the event.
With new Philippine Tourism Minister, Wanda Corazon T. Teo leading the delegation, thePhilippines is set to aggressively attract the travel trade with a list of fun-filled daily events including daily cocktail receptions at the stand. Minister Teo will also be staging a media address highlighting the achievements and campaigns of PDOT’s largest travel trade partners in the UK including Philippine Airlines, STA Travel, Expedia and Singapore Airlines on the 8th of November. The address will also highlight the new Philippine content by Jeremy Jauncey of Beautiful Destinations.
Lastly, the book – Tubbataha: A National Treasure
featuring photographs by Tet Lara
Taken over 20 years of diving the reefs, accompanied by texts from esteemed writers, conservators and scientists will be launched at this event.
The Philippines is also one of the hosts of the Regional Festival on the 9th of November from 5-7pm with a fashion showcase and party atmosphere to regale the attending crowd.
