Metro features Siargao island as voted most beautiful in the world

If you’re planning a getaway, you might want to head to Siargao in the Philippines. Why? Because it’s just been voted the best island in the world by Conde Nast Traveler readers. And if you’re going abroad, you might as well go to the best possible place. We can see why Siargao is so popular. Just a quick look at photos reveals gorgeous white sand beaches and peaceful forests with a remote, untouched feel. The island has a population of 200,000 and isn’t overrun with tourists, making it a paradise for anyone keen for a genuine escape. That does mean it can be a little tricky to get to.
