The Best Island in the World Awaits You

by | 5 Aug, 2020 | Travel Industry Updates

Vacationing is currently the most anticipated activity now that we can only do so much in the safety of our homes. Over the last few months, people have just been reminiscing old memories, revisiting photos on their smartphones, and continuing to wonder when and where will their next trip be. As the Department of Tourism (DOT) gears to restart local travel in the country, you will finally have your desired travel plans come to fruition. DOT announces Palawan, voted World’s Best Island in 2020 by Travel + Leisure, as one of the first destinations to finally open its borders.

Steadfast in promoting a safe and sustainable destination, El Nido Resorts and Lio Beach look forward to welcoming you back with their signature hospitality experience – connecting you to some of the world’s most extraordinary destinations and landscapes, immersing you in nature and celebrating the freedom to explore the beauty of Palawan. The province is now under a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), and with the support of DOT and the local government unit (LGU), their resorts are the first to have received the DOT Certificate of Authority to Operate in El Nido after complying with all the issued guidelines in order to accept leisure guests at a (50%) fifty-percent capacity.

Miniloc Island, celebrating its 40 years of service this year, was the first to open its doors to guests coming from outside Palawan. A maiden flight in the second half of July was conducted in coordination with their partner airline, AirSwift. With satisfactory results and positive feedback coming from both guests and the LGU, El Nido Resorts continue to service guests through scheduled flights from Manila. In August, Miniloc Island will once again accommodate guests who are interested to book a 3 nights vacation on August 28-31, 2020. With the ‘travel bubble’ in effect, guests are asked to undergo RT-PCR testing 72 hours prior their departure; and, they are required to fill out health and travel declaration forms upon reservation. On the other hand, Huni resort, located at Lio Beach on the mainland, is now accepting bookings from those who are based in Palawan only. Special deals await those who are yearning for a getaway in Paradise and there are only limited slots left! For bookings and inquiries, email holiday@elnidoresorts.com or call + 63 917 584 1576.

The resorts have been closely monitoring the developments since the start of the community quarantine and their team members have kept the resorts in top shape. As you prepare to travel and rediscover the islands, they are committed to safeguarding the guests’ and communities’ safety, health and well-being through the Be GREEN, Be Clean enhanced care program.
