World Travel Market (WTM), London Excel November 7-9 2016


All planned and delivered…WTM 2016 is a wrap! This year’s edition of the leading global event for the travel industry was attended by almost 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press.
The Philippines was well represented having one of the largest pavilions, and with DoT/TPB fielding its biggest ever delegation to the event led by Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo.

The 3-day business-to-business exhibition is projected to generate around £2.5 billion of travel industry contracts.
On behalf of the DoT/TPB and the Ph Embassy and attached agencies in UK, a million thanks to all our supporters from the travel trade and media, and to our partner carrier and event co-presenter, the Philippine Airlines.

Activity Highlights:
*Kapihan sa Pasuguan,(Coffee at the Embassy)  – a tourism forum organised by the Philippine Embassy for the Filipinos in the UK community and organisation leaders with Secretary Teo and our national congress officials led by the Tourism Committee Chairpersons from both the Senate and Lower House, Senator Nancy Binay and Representative Lucy Torres (Nov. 6)

*Consumer activation at the London Waterloo Train Station” (Nov. 6)

*Secretary Teo’s participation in the PATA Aligned Advocacy Dinner and UNWTO Ministers’ Summit (Nov. 7-8)

*Business appointments at the Ph booth and at the WTM speed dating sessions (Nov. 7-9)

*Sec. Teo’s WTM Media Address (Nov. 8)

*Mindanao Tapestry” fashion show at the Ph Pavilion featuring Renee Salud’s collections (Nov. 9)

*DoT/TPB & PAL Philippine Product Presentation and Business Networking Reception in London (Nov. 8 & 11)
