PRESS RELEASE – Philippine Department of Tourism, London


The Philippines took part in one of the biggest festivals in the UK – The Big Festival – celebrated last Bank Holiday weekend 23-25 August 2019.

The much awaited event was held at Alex James’ Farm near Kingham, Oxfordshire, OX7 6UJ. The location was in the Cotswolds about 4 miles southwest of Chipping Norton accessible by train (Kingham Station), bus or private car.

PDOT London invited event attendees to visit stand no. VG14 at the Village Green to experience the Philippines’ brand of FUN through music, dance, tasty treats and a glimpse the country’s best destinations and experiences!

Event attendees were very happy to have;

Sung with us! Listened to (and sang along) local folk songs
Danced with us! Witnessed and learned some Filipino cultural dances;

Went diving with us! and Explored our underwater wonders through Virtual Reality goggles;

Relaxed and strolled with us! they hung around and simply enjoyed our beach set-up;

Feasted with us! and had a taste of our local rum and delicacies
Played with us! and took part in various activities and received instant giveaways;

Festival goers were invited and happily joined In our WIN A HOLIDAY competition by uploading their photos taken at the Philippines stand using #BigFeastivalPHfun for their chance to win a 6 nights holiday to Cebu, Davao and Palawan.
